Given the hype around the film, rumours, fake reports and random twitter fan estimates initial reports, even from traditionally reliable sources have to be taken with a pinch of salt. Three figures which are miles are apart are given in the same article. If reports are to be believed, Maharshi is nearing the Rs 85-crore mark. A report by Times of India said that the film raked in over Rs 200 crore in its first week. On Friday, a report said the film has touched the Rs 295 crores gross worldwide in one week. This a wild figure as other sources cited in the same article give Rs 100 crore in weekend.
